Description
Oil painting of a bright golden yellow hibiscus that I found growing right on my walking path.
The yellow Hibiscus, (& not the more common red Hibiscus), is the State Flower of Hawaii since 1923. I painted it on a black gessoed background (my first time trying a black background), & I must say I really like the effects it gave - quite different from painting on a white canvas. This is a 12"x12" gallery style canvas.
